About Us

In 1955 the clinic opened it’s doors for the very first time. Over the past 55 years the clinic has grown with the addition of 2 buildings and great clients. The clinic is fitted out with 2 consulting rooms, large treatment room, operating theatre, radiology room and a large kennel room with divisions between the cats and dogs.

They have a large off street parking for up to 15 cars, which allows easy access with your four legged friend.

They look forward to welcoming you and your pets to Guildford Veterinary Hospital as part of our family.

Dr. Prue Honson B.V.Sc. - Veterinarian

Prue graduated from University of Sydney and has worked in small animal clinics in Sydney since then. She has worked at multiple Vetfriends clinics including North Shore Veterinary Hospital, Ryde Vetfriends and  is now Hospital Director at both Parramatta and Guildford Veterinary Hospitals. She is available for consults at both clinics.

Prue has a broad range of interests including surgery, practice management and behavioural medicine. She lives with her husband, son and their great dane Nalu, who rules the house.

Dr. Ahmed Aboud B.V.Sc - Veterinarian

Ahmed graduated from the University of Baghdad, Iraq, School or Veterinary Surgery and Medicine in 1999.
He worked in a private clinic for one year. After migrating to Australia in 2001, he completed a Diploma in Laboratory pathology and worked in a lab for a year before pursuing his desire to continue working with animals.
In 2011, Ahmed graduated from the University of Queensland with a Bachelor of Veterinary Science. Since then he completed a practicum period at Guildford Veterinary Hospital, in march 2012, Ahmed made the smooth transition from studying to practicing at the same clinic.

He very much enjoys working with animals and loves that everyday brings new challenges. Ahmed's interests are surgery, endocrinology and dermatology. He is a father of one beautiful girl who loves to come by and "help out" with the pets.

Dr Miriam Yii B.V.Sc - Veterinarian

Miriam graduated from the University of Sydney in 2011. She has worked in several small animal clinics in both Adelaide and Sydney, and has also spent some time working for a large animal health laboratory.
She found that she missed the challenges of everyday practice as well as the cute furry patients, and has since joined Guildford and Parramatta Vet Hospitals full time.
Her veterinary interests lie in diagnostic imaging and endocrinology, but she is always keen to learn and expand her experience in all fields.

In her spare time, Miriam enjoys being active and going on long bush walks with her beautiful Papillon dog, Pepper

Carolina De La Fuente - Senior Nurse
