Dr Ben Ajilian BVSc - Veterinarian

Ben graduated in Iran in 2003 and immigrated to Australia in 2006 to pursue his veterinary career.
He has worked at the University of Adelaide, Institute of Medical and Veterinary Science (IMVS), the Animal Welfare League of SA, Vets4Pets small animal hospital and Ingleburn veterinary hospital and emergency centre.

He was appointed as the head vet at Ryde Veterinary hospital in February 2015.

Ben is interested in small animal surgery and emergency medicine and has recently finished an advanced small animal thoracic radiography course through Sydney University.
He also completed a postgraduate surgical course through Sydney University in 2012.

Outside of work he enjoys spending time with his young family, cycling and swimming.

Dr Jenny Shiu B.V.Sc. - Veterinarian

Jenny Shiu is also a Sydney Uni graduate who replaced Prue whilst she was on maternity leave and we thought she was so good we decided to keep her. Jenny has previously worked in Newcastle and has a broad range of experience in small animals and racehorses.
Jenny has interests in soft tissue surgeries and she is studying for her masters of veterinary medicine part time.
Jenny always brings joy and laughter to the clinic

Ruth Joynes - Veterinary Nurse

Ruth “Ruthless” Joynes is our longest serving employee, working full time as a qualified vet nurse.  Despite battling a lot of traffic everyday (she commutes from Penrith), Ruth is an ever-smiling presence at the clinic and seems to know every person who walks through the door.  Her always happy side-kick, “Ebony,” the King Charles Cavalier Spaniel often comes in for a cuddle and doubles as an extra receptionist when required.

Jacqui Lang - Veterinary Nurse

Jacqui is a qualified vet nurse who joined us in July 2013.  Her skills and great work ethic are an asset to the clinic and her compassion for animals means no patient is short of cuddles! Jacqui owns Frankie the agility-loving wonderdog and rabbits.

Rosy Federico - Veterinary Nurse

Rosie began volunteering for us last year and we loved her so much she is now employed part time.  She is currently training to become a vet nurse and her enthusiasm and love of animals is a welcome addition to the clinic.

Vicky Tabac - Kennel Hand

Vicki Tabac has been our part time kennel hand for the past 2 years.  Vicki’s “neat-freak” approach to keeping the clinic and kennels spotless has all the staff living in fear of leaving a mess.  Her constantly cheerful mood and strong work ethic make her a great asset to our team.
